Age Groups

U8, U9, and U10 - Girls and Boys Travel teams and All star recreation teams

Format

Games will consist of two 25 minute halves with a 5 minute half-time.  Each team shall play two games.

Roster Size

Maximum of 14 players per team.  4 guest players allowed.  Guest players must have passes from the same sanctioning body as team players, ie - guests for US Club carded teams must have US Club passes.

Sanction

NJYSA sanctioned .  Travel permits are required for all out of state US Youth Soccer teams.   US Club Soccer passes are accepted. Out of state teams playing under US Club Soccer do not need permission to travel.  Medical releases are required for all players.  Recreational All-star teams are permitted with proof of insurance.  All players must be U8 or older.

Referees

USSF licensed referees will be used for all games.

Awards

All players will receive a participation gift and a patch.   T-shirts will be available for purchase at our Peterson Field location the day of the tournament.

Patches

We encourage the exchange of club patches at the end of each game.  All players will receive a Howl-O-Ween tournament patch.

"Most creatively decorated team".

 Use whatever materials you like to decorate your players, coaches, siblings, pets, parents - face & body paint / tattoos (temporary we hope) / hair spray and whatever else you can think of.  Bring whatever props you need.  Give your team a theme or be individuals.  We only ask that any 'accessories' that can't be worn during a soccer match be easily removable.

   The small print

Team costumes / decorations will be judged by members of the Rockaway Township Soccer Association tournament committee.  Winners will be announced on our website within 10 days of the tournament and prizes will be mailed to the winning team.  Decision of the judges is final.

Good luck to all teams entering our contest.  We hope you have as much fun getting decorated as we know we will have watching you play and judging your costumes.  We hope you enjoy the spirit of Howl-O-Ween at our tournament and that your players go home with smiles and decorations on their faces.
