Rockaway Recreational Soccer Uniform Requirements

Players may not wear jewelry of any kind during a game.
This includes starter earrings - EVEN IF TAPED OVER. Our referees have been instructed to allow
NO exceptions to this rule.

Eyeglasses
MUST be secured. There will be no exceptions.

Pony tail holders must be small and contain no metal or hard parts. No hair clips of any kind will be permitted.

Players must wear sports shorts or wind / sweat pants. Jeans or any other pant with belt loops, rivets, snaps, buttons, zippers, or other metal or hard parts will not be allowed.

Players must wear shin guards underneath soccer socks. Shin guards worn above the sock will not be permitted.

In cold weather, your child may wear a sweatshirt under their uniform. Under no circumstances will hooded sweatshirts be allowed - even if tucked in.

Soccer style cleats or turf shoes are required. Under no circumstances will baseball / softball cleats be allowed.

On cold days, gloves and ear bands / smooth ski style hats (no pompoms / bills or anything else that hangs or decorates the hat) are permitted.

Please remember that you children will be running around in full sun while you watch from a shaded spot. Do not overdress them!
These rules have been instituted to help protect the health and safety of all the children in our program.
